Sushil Kumar Pal
Sushil Kumar Pal, born on December 1, 1988, in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, is a distinguished artist with a strong academic foundation in fine arts. He completed his B.F.A. in Painting with first-class honors from Allahabad University in 2011 and went on to pursue his M.F.A. in Painting, again securing first-class honors, from Kurukshetra University in 2013.
In 2012, Sushil was honored with the prestigious 6th All India Contemporary Art Award in Haridwar, recognizing his exceptional talent and contribution to contemporary art. He has actively participated in numerous esteemed art exhibitions, including the 29th Annual Art Exhibition at the State Lalit Kala Akademi in Lucknow (2010-11). Notably, he showcased his work at the 78th All India Art Exhibition organized by The Indian Academy of Arts in Amritsar in 2012 and was part of the Camel Art Foundation’s exhibition the same year.
In 2013, Sushil held a solo show at the Museum & Art Gallery, Kurukshetra University, where his unique artistic vision was on full display. He has also been an active participant in various art camps, contributing to the vibrant art community. His participation includes the “Atulya Bharat” National Camp of Painting organized by NCZCC in Allahabad in 2018, the Multi-Disciplinary Workshop at Lalit Kala Akademi Regional Center in Lucknow in 2014, and the “Junior & Senior Artist Camp” organized by AIFACS in New Delhi in both 2014 and 2018.

Rakhi Kumar
Dr. Rakhi Kumar, born on 14th August 1977, is a distinguished artist and academician. She completed her B.F.A. (Painting) in 2002 with a Gold Medal from the Faculty of Visual Arts, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, followed by an M.F.A. (Painting) in 2004, again with a Gold Medal. In 2005, she qualified for J.R.F. and S.R.F. (U.G.C., New Delhi) and later earned her Ph.D. (Painting) in 2009 from BHU, Varanasi.
Her journey is marked by numerous awards and honours. Between 1999 and 2002, she was awarded multiple times for painting in the Annual Art Exhibition of Visual Arts, Varanasi. In 2002, she secured the Gold Medal in B.F.A. for first position, and in 2003, she received the prestigious “President of India, Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma Gold Medal” as Best Student from BHU. The same year, she was awarded in the 24th State Annual Art Exhibition, Lalit Kala Academy, Lucknow, and also in the 76th State Art Exhibition by AIFACS, New Delhi. Her M.F.A. in 2004 also brought her another Gold Medal for securing first position. Over the years, her artistic excellence has been recognized nationally, with awards such as the 86th Annual All India Art Exhibition (AIFACS, 2013), the Annual Art Exhibition of Sahitya Kala Parishad, New Delhi (2014), the 89th Annual Art Exhibition (AIFACS, 2016), the 92nd Annual Art Exhibition (AIFACS, 2019), the 96th Annual Art Exhibition (AIFACS, 2023), the 88th All India Art Exhibition, IAFA, Amritsar (2023), and most recently the 97th Annual Art Exhibition (AIFACS, 2024) for printmaking.
She has also showcased her talent in several solo exhibitions. These include Sukriti Art Gallery at Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur (2006), Triveni Gallery, New Delhi (2007, 2009, 2013), Lalit Kala Academy, Lucknow (2008), Rabindra Bhawan, New Delhi (2012, 2017, 2024), Azad Bhavan Gallery, I.C.C.R., New Delhi (2013), Gallery Surekh, Jaipur (2015), and AIFACS, New Delhi (2017).
Her participation in major art exhibitions has been consistent and remarkable. She exhibited at the 14th and 15th All India Art Contest and Exhibition, S.C.Z.C.C., Nagpur; the Annual Art Exhibition of BHU (1999–2002); the Regional Art Exhibition by Lalit Kala Academy, Lucknow (2000, 2001, 2006); the Northern Region Camlin Art Exhibition, New Delhi (2002–2004); the 24th State Annual Art Exhibition, Lalit Kala Academy, Lucknow (2003); and multiple Annual All India Art Exhibitions organized by AIFACS, New Delhi (76th through 97th). She also participated in the 47th National Exhibition of Arts, Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi (2004); the 10th All India Annual Exhibition of Arts, Lalit Kala Academy, Lucknow (2004); exhibitions in Amritsar (2007), Hyderabad (2012), Bhubaneshwar (2012), the Sahitya Kala Parishad, New Delhi (2014), the International Art Festival by Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi (2018), and the 88th and 89th All India Art Exhibitions, IAFA, Amritsar (2023, 2024). In 2024, she was also part of “Nabh Sparsh” Exhibition of Indian Women Printmakers at NGMA, New Delhi.
Dr. Kumar’s active engagement also extends to art camps. She participated in the Art Fair and Artist Camp by Chitrakala Society, Allahabad (2005), Junior National Artist Camps organized by AIFACS (2006, 2014, 2022), the All India Women Painters Camp at Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur (2013), and several national and international art festivals including those in Ghaziabad (2014), Jaipur (2014, 2020), Kurukshetra (2016), New Delhi (2017, 2022), Haridwar (2017), Karnataka (2017), Mussoorie (2019), Dehradun (2019), Udaipur (2021), and Jammu (2025). Notably, she was part of the International Women’s Art Camp at Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur (2020), the ‘Kala Deepam’ National Women’s Art Camp (2021), and the National Artist Camp under Amrit Mahotsav (2021).
Her achievements are further supported by scholarships, including the Merit Scholarship from BHU (1999–2003) and the JRF and SRF by UGC, New Delhi (2005).
